Protection Of Vulnerable Adults

This site is being developed to help share information. The Protection of Vulnerable Adults involves many partners working together including Health, Police, Social Services, Voluntary Sector, Independent Sectors and Regulators, the general public and of course vulnerable people themselves.

Everyone needs access to information.  This website has been established to share information as widely as possible across Wales and beyond!

There are 4 forums in Wales who protect vulnerable adults.  Each forum contains a breakdown of the Local Authorities within that area.  Each Local Authorty provides information on individual AAPC's, local policies and procedures, publications, etc.Old person

We have a page that clarifies what abuse is and provides a definition of the term "abuse".  There is also an All Wales section that provides information that is relevant to Wales as a whole.

You will also find below a Research, Consultation and Resources area, which contains :

  • Consultation documents
  • Research information from the University of Glamorgan and Bangor University
  • Message boards for sharing information
  • Off-site links to other agencies, etc.
